Bob Federer

photographer, instructor, designer, musician

Bob Federer has been a professional photographer in Nova Scotia for the past nine years. Along with photographing weddings, portraits and commercial shoots, in 2008, he photographed and co-authored a regional cookbook called Annapolis Valley Tastes.  He has a diversified background as a photographer, graphic designer, web designer, recording engineer, producer and musician. Bob is in his 4th year of running photography workshops, where he takes a non-technical approach to get students to take control of their cameras and start looking through the viewfinder with a photographer's eye.  Bob has begun to convert his local workshops into Online versions to cover a wider audience. The Beginners' Workshop is now available at ValleyPhotoWorkshops.com. It's an interactive online course complete with quizzes and homework assignments that Bob critiques at various points in the workshop, providing personal attention to his students. He is currently working on the Advanced Lightroom course, which will be the next online offering.
